AIS400 High Performance AIS-GPS Receiver Powerful full featured AIS+GPS receiver for use with PC navigation software and chart plotters such as the latest Garmin, Raymarine, Lowrance, Simrad, Standard Horizon and Furuno units. Connected to an existing VHF antenna (via a splitter) or dedicated AIS antenna, you can receive all AIS targets within 20 miles of your boat. Simple plug and play USB connection to a PC. Uses standard drivers built-in to Windows XP/Vista/7 and is automatically mapped to an available "virtual" com port, that your PC software can read. Also compatible with Mac OS X and all LINUX Kernels since V2.4.20. For Windows users, the AIS400 is shipped with a ProAIS software CD that allows the AIS400 to be configured and tested after installation. The AIS400 automatically outputs AIS and GPS data together on both the USB and NMEA ports - perfect for connection to a chart plotter with only one NMEA input.A unique feature of the AIS400, is that it can be upgraded to a full AIS Class B Transponder (AIT1000). This represents a great upgrade path for customers that wish to try AIS for the first time but do not want to initially commit to the more expensive full transponder solution.
